First Basin Needs New Leadership

We strongly encourage you to attend the April 15th annual meeting and vote. We feel that First Basin needs new leadership because we believe our current directors have…

1
Abused their authority by promoting a proposal which created opportunity for insider enrichment at the members’ expense.
2
Mismanaged our money by spending over half a million dollars hiring Washington DC lawyers and Houston telemarketers to tell us how to vote. They continue to spend the members money on an intimidation lawsuit against the members who opposed their bank conversion proposal. (We feel this suit is baseless.)
3
Violated the democratic principles of our credit union by canceling the conversion election, apparently because they did not like how the members were voting.
4
Violated the members' trust by distributing misleading information in support of their proposal, and by refusing to release the results of the vote or how much money they spent.

We deserve better. We encourage all members to attend the annual meeting, and vote for new directors that will work for members' interests, not their own.

The annual meeting will be held on:
April 15, 2008 at 7:00 PM
Odessa College Technology Building, RM 130

To elect new leadership, we will need your vote. If you need any help attending, email savefirstbasin@gmail.com.
